Dieleman has helped shape modern AI across games and generative media. He co-authored the AlphaGo paper and contributed to WaveNet, Lyria, Imagen, and Veo. His research focuses on diffusion models, which create media by repeatedly refining noise, and on learning useful structure in sound, images, and video.
