Aleksander Mądry announced that he has decided to leave OpenAI after almost three years. In his note, he said he joined to better understand and help shape AI's impact, worked on safety and enterprise engagements, and now wants to focus on "inventing and building what should come next."
OpenAI Chief Research Officer Mark Chen replied that Mądry had been an important part of OpenAI over the past three years, citing work across deep learning, enterprise, and safety.
