Alex Ratner, co-founder and CEO of Snorkel AI, is now tracked in Turing Tree. His work helped establish a practical way to train machine-learning models from programmatic rules and existing expert knowledge, reducing the need to label every training example by hand.
Ratner developed the ideas behind Snorkel during his Stanford PhD and remains an affiliate assistant professor of computer science at the University of Washington.
