Alex Stamos announced in a LinkedIn article on 29 September that he was joining Cognition as Chief Information Security Officer, effective that day.

He argued that AI is lowering the cost of cyberattacks while defenders face expensive tools and large backlogs of vulnerable software. At Cognition, he plans to help companies write safer code, find and fix flaws, and modernize older systems at a cost more organizations can afford.

Stamos previously held a full-time leadership role at Corridor. Corridor CEO Jack Cable has confirmed his transition from chief product officer to adviser.
