Chad Jones announced that, as of June 30, 2026, he will be on leave from Stanford at Anthropic, joining the Anthropic Institute. Jones said he will continue his research on AI and the economic future, and continue giving seminars and talks.
Jones is a Stanford GSB economist known for work on economic growth, innovation, macroeconomics, and the long-run economic implications of AI.
