Divya Siddarth announced on X that she has joined Anthropic's alignment team, continuing her work on democratic and pluralistic approaches to advanced AI.
Siddarth co-authored Collective Constitutional AI, an experiment that used public input to shape the principles guiding an Anthropic model. At Anthropic, she will continue exploring how increasingly capable systems can reflect a wider range of values and support democratic futures.
The move follows several months supporting the OpenAI Foundation, where Siddarth co-authored its Economic Futures in the Age of AI program. She had already stepped away from day-to-day leadership of the Collective Intelligence Project; Joal Stein and Zarine Kharas now lead CIP while Siddarth transitions to board chair.
