Eric W. Tramel announced on X that he has joined Arcee AI after working as a principal research scientist at NVIDIA.
Tramel said he chose Arcee because of its focus on American open-weight models: systems whose learned parameters are available for others to inspect, adapt and run. He argued that open weights and an open market are important for spreading AI's benefits broadly and safely.
His earlier work spans synthetic data for language-model training, privacy-preserving federated learning at Amazon, and AI-generated digital twins designed to improve clinical trials at Unlearn.AI. Arcee did not announce his title.
