George Williamson joined the Alan Turing Institute as Chief Executive Officer on 20 May, after his appointment was announced by the Institute in February.
He moves from HMGCC, where he led technology development for the UK national-security community and expanded collaboration with industry and academia. At the Turing, he is expected to steer work on sovereign AI capability, defence, security, critical infrastructure, and national resilience.
