Jeff Dean, Oriol Vinyals, Quoc Le, and Sanjay Ghemawat launched Discovery Loop, a public benefit corporation focused on automating machine learning, science, and engineering.
Dean announced the company on X, describing a founding team that has worked together for between 14 and 30 years. Discovery Loop says it wants to build systems that automatically solve important technical and scientific problems, accelerating the pace of discovery.
The four founders are moving from longtime roles across Google, Google Brain and Google DeepMind to build the new company.
