Junyang Lin announced on X that he has started Pragmatik Labs, a Shanghai company focused on next-generation agents across digital and physical worlds.
The company says it is developing digital agents for knowledge work and industry-scale workflows alongside physical agents that can adapt and act in real environments. Lin previously led the technical development of Alibaba's Qwen model family and left the team in March 2026.
Lin also said Gaorong Ventures and HSG co-led the company's financing round, with support from Tencent and the Shanghai Engine Fund.
