Khurram Javed has left Keen Technologies to co-found Oak Lab with Richard S. Sutton. His website describes Oak Lab as a startup focused on systems that learn in real time from experience.
Javed previously worked in the small research team led by John Carmack and Sutton at Keen. His research includes continual learning, efficient temporal-difference learning, and recurrent systems that can update online without backpropagation through complete trajectories.
