Lilian Weng announced on X that July 28 would be her last day at Thinking Machines Lab, which she co-founded in 2025.
Weng said the sustained stress and workload of building a startup had affected her health. She wrote that a narrower role in a more predictable environment would better suit her next stage, but did not announce a destination.
