Lun Wang announced that he has joined OpenAI after leaving Google DeepMind. In the post, he said DeepMind shaped how he thinks about research, product, evaluation, and building AI systems at real scale, and pointed to a longer note arguing for stronger evaluations before models cross into new capability regimes.
