Marcus Fontoura announced on LinkedIn that he has joined Anthropic as a Member of Technical Staff, returning to a deeply technical individual-contributor role focused on AI infrastructure.
Fontoura moves from Microsoft, where he was a Technical Fellow and CTO of Azure Core. Across two Microsoft tenures, he also served as a Corporate Vice President, chief architect for Azure Compute, leader of the Azure efficiency team, and interim leader for Azure Networking.
