Tino Cuéllar joins Anthropic as its first Chief Global Affairs Officer

Mariano-Florentino (Tino) Cuéllar has joined Anthropic as its first Chief Global Affairs Officer, he announced on LinkedIn. He will report to Anthropic President Daniela Amodei and lead the company's public-policy, international-engagement, and government-relations work, according to Reuters.

Cuéllar arrives after stepping down as president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. His career also includes service as a justice of the Supreme Court of California, leadership roles at Stanford, and work across three U.S. presidential administrations.

He is taking leave from Stanford University, where he had returned to the law faculty and taken leadership roles at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences and Knight-Hennessy Scholars.
