Nan Yu announced on X that he is joining OpenAI as a Member of Product Staff, working on Codex and ChatGPT.
The move follows four years at Linear, where Yu served as Head of Product and helped shape the company's approach to building focused, high-quality software. Before Linear, his product and technology leadership roles included serving as CTO of Everlane.
Yu wrote that he plans to bring what he learned about the craft of software at Linear into his next chapter at OpenAI.
