Naomi Bashkansky left OpenAI on July 23 and joined Conduit Intelligence the following day as a founding researcher. She announced the move on X on August 5.
Conduit is developing non-invasive thought-to-text models trained on neural data. The company envisions a headset-based interface that predicts and completes text from a user's thoughts while keeping people in control.
Bashkansky previously worked on AI alignment at OpenAI. She studied computer science at Harvard and is also a Woman International Master in chess and a former World Schools girls champion.
