Reto Spörri has left [Aleph Alpha](/org/aleph-alpha) after fourteen months as Co-CEO, the company announced in a 28 September statement. He is pursuing new professional opportunities; the announcement does not name a next employer.
Ilhan Scheer continues as CEO and becomes the company’s sole Managing Director.
Cohere announced on 16 September that Scheer will become its Chief Operating Officer when the business combination with Aleph Alpha closes. The appointment is contingent on completion of the transaction, which remains subject to regulatory approval.
