Sanjay Ghemawat announced on X that he is co-founding Discovery Loop with Jeff Dean, Oriol Vinyals and Quoc Le. The public benefit corporation aims to automate discovery and progress across machine learning, science and engineering.
During his long tenure at Google, Ghemawat helped create foundational distributed systems including MapReduce, the Google File System and Bigtable.
