Sequent is now Resolution. The alignment nonprofit announced on June 15, 2026 that it had changed its name after discovering sequent.inc, a formal verification startup that had recently gone public.
Resolution says the new name points to resolution as a proof method in first-order logic, and to resolution of singularities in algebraic geometry.
