Shayne Longpre announced on X that he has joined Anthropic as a Member of Technical Staff after completing his PhD at MIT. His work spans pretraining and societal impacts, including model evaluation, multilinguality, transparency, and accountability.
Longpre said he will remain active in academic and public-interest research, including the Data Provenance Initiative, the research collective he founded to audit the origins, licensing, consent, and transparency of AI training data.
