The American robotics startup Skild AI is attracting some attention today with their new foundation model S1.
S1 learns a task from a single example through a technique called in-context learning.
It can learn unfamiliar tasks lasting up to ten minutes from one video demonstration, the Pittsburgh company says.
Through in-context learning the robot remembers the steps and attempt them in the same order.
In a launch video by Skild, there are demos of the robot making pancakes, brewing coffee, and potting a plant.
