Tim Brooks moved from Google DeepMind to Meta in September 2025. His current title is Research Scientist at Meta Superintelligence Labs, where his personal site says he leads media generation.
Brooks spent the previous year at Google DeepMind working on world models and multimodal generation. Before that, he co-led Sora at OpenAI. TIME reported the move in October 2025.
