Yaser Sheikh is now tracked in Turing Tree. He is co-founder and CEO of Sooth Labs, which is building a world model for calibrated, long-horizon forecasts of global events, and a consulting professor at Carnegie Mellon University.
Sheikh previously served as a vice president at Meta, where he founded its Pittsburgh Reality Lab and led the invention and productization of Codec Avatars. At CMU, his group developed foundational machine-perception systems including OpenPose and the Panoptic Studio.
