Yilin Yang announced on X that they have joined Thinking Machines Lab as a Member of Technical Staff, where they will help build the lab's next generation of voice models.
Yang joins from OpenAI, where they led GPT-Realtime-Translate, a low-latency simultaneous-translation model. Before OpenAI, Yang worked at Meta on Llama 4 full-duplex speech and multilingual speech-translation systems.
