Zixuan Li, Head of Z.ai, is now tracked in Turing Tree. He leads the company's global product strategy, API platform, model releases, partnerships, research exploration and branding.
Li helps bring Z.ai's open GLM foundation models to developers outside China. His public work focuses on coding and agentic AI, including how models can reason, plan and recover from errors across long, multi-step tasks.
Before joining Z.ai, Li worked as a data scientist at Apple and researched AI alignment and generative-AI applications at MIT. He studied at Renmin University of China and holds master's degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and MIT.
