Very Deep Convolutional Networks for Large-Scale Image Recognition

At a glance

VGG networks improved image recognition by stacking more layers.

In one paragraph

VGG networks showed that stacking many layers with small image filters could improve object recognition. The paper tested networks up to 19 layers deep and found that their learned visual features transferred well to other datasets, making them useful beyond the original task.
