Rohan Anil is a deep-learning researcher and engineer who spent years at Google, where he was a key contributor to large-scale model training and optimization (including the Shampoo optimizer) and to the Gemini effort, before joining Anthropic's pretraining team. In 2026 he left Anthropic to co-found Core Automation (@CoreAutoAI) with Jerry Tworek and others.
